I have to admit I had lots of fun playing with Image generators etc. I found this interesting frog generator. Everytime you click on it you get a new frog picture.

However I suppose I will have to stop playing with images and look a the other tasks for week 5 as I am just a bit behind
Library Thing was interesting but is not really me but I can see where the social aspect of sharing your faavourite books would appeal to some. While I had previously known about library thing,I hadn't known about the groups aspect. I can see where it will can have some applications in a library invironment if you wanted to highlight particular books. etc.
While I had known about Library thing I had to admit I hadn't know about Rollo this is certainly something I intende to play around with abit more as I can certainly see the benefits both as a researcher and as a way of providing assistance to our clients

Some technology musing
# 7 Technology
When I think about technolgy I think about the firewalls here and how they hinder a lot that we can do. I know they are necessary but it means that sometimes it just isn't possible to make use of the technology that is out there. Blogs would be a handy way of getting material out to our clients but unfortunaely no can do!
#8 RSS
Creating RSS feeds are easy but again because of our firewall restrictions I tend not to use them much. I have set up a couple of feeds but for me the real benefit of the RSS feeds will be finding the best ones for our clients and putting them into e-library rather than using them myself. I tend to prefer not to be overloaded with information but prefer to go to it when I need it. Everone is different and I suppose that that the real benefit of Library 2.0 is that it caters for the individuals needs and requirements
